Sea Isle City’s National Night Out
Tuesday, August 3, 2021 – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
JFK Boulevard & the Promenade, Sea Isle

National Night Out is an annual event that takes place across the country on the first Tuesday in August. The purpose of the event is to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the community it’s sworn to protect and serve. Sea Isle will have family-friendly activities and displays on hand to bring the community together with its first responders.

Ocean City Sand Sculpting Contest
Thursday, August 5, 2021, 9:00 am – 11:00 am
6th Street Beach, Ocean City

Open to kids, teens, adults and families! Registration is free and begins at 9:00 am. Judging takes place by 11:00 am.

Ocean City’s 58th Annual Boardwalk Art Show
Friday August 6, 2021 – Sunday, August 8, 2021 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Ocean City Boardwalk

Leading artists from throughout the East Coast exhibit and sell their work. Traditionally an ideal place to buy fine artwork at reasonable prices.

Spanish Music & Food Festival

2021 Stone Harbor Arts and Crafts Festival
Saturday August 7, 2021 – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday, August 8, 2021 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

This festival features over 200 artisans from over 12 states who will be on hand to exhibit and sell their artwork.

National Lighthouse Day
Saturday, August 7, 2021 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Cape May Lighthouse, Cape May Point State Park

Celebrate National Lighthouse Day at the Cape May Lighthouse. Make your own crafts, listen to songs of the sea, meet the lighthouse keepers, shop for nautical merchandise and more. Free admission to the activities, separate admission to climb the lighthouse but kids climb free with a paying adult. Crafts and collectibles show will also be featured.

Week of August 8 – 14, 2021

Sunset Lake Food Truck Festival
Sunday, August 8, 2021 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Sunset Lake in Wildwood Crest from Nashville Avenue to Miami Road

Gather to enjoy award-winning food trucks and a movie showing at the lake (7:00 pm). Get there early to enjoy delicious selections from gourmet food trucks from the tri-state area before you take your beach chairs or blankets down by the lake.

Harlem Globetrotters
Wednesday, August 11 – Saturday, August 14, 2021, 7:00 pm nightly
Wildwoods Convention Center

The Globetrotters bring a one-of-a-kind show that is unrivaled in the world of family entertainment. Every game will showcase incredible ball handling wizardry, rim-rattling dunks, trick shots, hilarious comedy and unequaled fan interaction. After the game, Globetrotter stars will sign autographs and take photos with fans. Plus, you can meet the team on the court before the game with the purchase of “Magic Pass” – a 30-minute pre-show that begins 5:30 pm, prior to the 7:00 pm game. Downtown Wildwood Jazzy Friday

Grand Lighthouse Cruise “Delaware Bay Adventure”
Saturday, August 14, 2021 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Miss Chris Marina, 1218 Wilson Drive, Cape May

Visit 7 offshore lighthouses aboard the Cape May Whale Watcher to learn the unique history of each. Cruise includes breakfast and lunch buffets. The cruise departs from the Miss Chris Marina. Parking on site, please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. Approx. 5 hours in duration.

Cape May Craft Beer, Music and Crab Festival
Saturday August 14, 2021 and Sunday, August 15, 2021 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

This 8th annual festival has been extended to a two-day event, featuring local and regional craft beers and favorite summer foods including steamed crabs, pulled pork, crab cakes, shrimp and hot dogs, as well as food from regional vendors and a crafts and collectibles show.

Beachside Science at Surfside Park

Avalon’s Environmental Commission and The Wetlands Institute sponsor this family-friendly series, “Secrets of the Beach: Creatures Who Share our Barrier Island”. In the event of inclement weather, this event will occur on Thursday. This event repeats on the third Wednesday of every month between May – September.

Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant
Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm
6th Street Beach, Ocean City

This is the original beauty contest for crustaceans. Families, Kids, Businesses and Organizations are invited to enter their crustacean in this annual contest. The winner receives the Coveted Cucumber Rind Cup and gets to walk down a flowery runway. Registration is free and starts at 5:30 pm and contest begins at 6:00pm. Open to all ages.

Hermit Crab Races

Watch as some of the fastest crabs in the universe compete in this world-famous race immediately following Miss Crustacean pageant. Registration begins at 5:30 pm.

Wildwood Barefoot Country Music Fest

The ALL-NEW Barefoot Country Music Fest promises to be the Northeast’s largest outdoor country music fest. This 4-day event will host over 30 of country music’s biggest stars and up-and-comers on multiple stages. Headliners include Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, Dan + Shay, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Currington, Jimmie Allen, Jon Pardi, Chris Lane, Lindsay Ell, Ingrid Andress, Carolyn Miller and Lee Brice, with more artists to be announced. Full Moon Lighthouse Climb

Let the light of the full moon guide you up the 199 stairs to the starry top of the Cape May Lighthouse, located in Cape May Point State Park, Lower Township. You can purchase tickets from the Keeper at the Lighthouse the night of the event.

Museum Gala at The Reeds at Shelter Haven
