National Night Out (North Wildwood)

This yearly event offers an ideal opportunity to build neighborhood unity and strengthen police-community partnerships in a continuing effort to build a better City and safer America. City departments will set up displays around the block, representing police, fire, public works, beach patrol and recreation. Enjoy a FREE barbeque, games, various activities for children, hourly giveaways, and more. A movie will begin at dusk. Sponsored by the City of North Wildwood Police Department.
National Night Out (Wildwood Crest)

The Borough of Wildwood Crest Police Department will host a fun-filled evening of free activities for the entire family as part of the National Night Out campaign. Festivities will include DJ entertainment, food, games, prizes, giveaways and more for the entire family. Moon bounces, a face painter and a dunk tank will be included in the fun. Representatives from the Wildwood Crest Police Department, Fire Department, Ambulance Corps, Beach Patrol and Recreation Department, as well as a handful of Cape May County agencies, will all partake in the event. Emergency vehicles from a variety of departments from both Wildwood Crest and Cape May County will line the Centennial Park area.
East Lynne Theater Company presents “Who Am I This Time? (Other Conundrums Of Love)”

This comedy consists of three tales, the first of which is called “Long Walk to Forever” about a soldier who goes AWOL so he can hitchhike home to talk his childhood sweetheart out of marrying the wrong man. In the next tale, “Who Am I This Time?,” a new woman in town falls in love with the man she’s performing with in the community theater production of “A Streetcar Named Desire.” The last of the trio, “Go Back to Your Precious Wife and Son,” centers on a successful writer who realizes that being married to a film star can be difficult.

Hands-on History at Historic Cold Spring Village

Two days of family-friendly, interactive and educational fun are planned for Historic Cold Spring Village’s “Hands-on History”. Children will be given a “Pastport” at the start of their Village trip, which can be stamped at the buildings they visit after completing a take-home craft or activity, like writing with a quill pen, carding wool, or churning butter. Pastports can be redeemed at the Country Store for a free treat!
National Lighthouse Day

You are invited to join us in celebrating National Lighthouse Day on Saturday, August 7th. This day will mark the 233rd anniversary of the signing of the 1789 Lighthouse Act. The ceremony includes a formal patriotic ceremony honoring our lighthouse and Coast Guard heritage at 10:00 am. Special guest speakers will include U. S. Coast Guard representatives, Mayor Patrick Rosenello and local historians. The New Jersey Lighthouse Society will provide games and surprises for all children. Admission is free and donations are accepted.

The 2nd Annual Spanish Food & Music Festival on the Wildwood beach will be the largest Spanish music Festival this summer! Musical entertainment on Saturday features Jerry Rivera (Grammy Award and Latin Grammy Award Nominee), La India (Latin Grammy Award Winner), Grupo Mania (Latin Grammy Award Nominee), and Judy Torres. The main concert will take place on Saturday on the beach between Mariners Pier and Adventure Pier.
