Full Moon Lighthouse Climb

Follow the light of the full moon on this nighttime climb up the 199 step staircase steps to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse. Enjoy a nighttime view nearly 156 feet above the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean. This event is repeated for every full moon throughout spring, summer and fall (upcoming dates are August 30, September 29 and October 28)

National Night Out (Wildwood Crest)

The Borough of Wildwood Crest Police Department will host a fun-filled evening of free activities for the entire family as part of the National Night Out campaign. Festivities will include DJ entertainment, food, games, prizes, giveaways and more for the entire family. Moon bounces, a face painter and a dunk tank will be included in the fun. Representatives from the Wildwood Crest Police Department, Fire Department, Ambulance Corps, Beach Patrol and Recreation Department, as well as a handful of Cape May County agencies, will all partake in the event. Emergency vehicles from a variety of departments from both Wildwood Crest and Cape May County will line the Centennial Park area.

Ocean City Fishing Pier Open House

Ocean City Fishing Pier, 14th Street and Boardwalk
The Ocean City Fishing Club is inviting shutterbugs and other visitors to tour its pier and clubhouse at 14th St. & Boardwalk. Visitors will also be able to make an optional monetary donation or canned goods donation to support the Ocean City Food Cupboard. This is one of two days a year when the Pier is open to non-members, weather permitting.

The 3rd Annual Festival Playero on the beach will be the largest Latin music festival this summer! Friday August 11, 2023 features an All White Party and Saturday August 12, 2023 features the main event, the concert on the Spicer Avenue beach. Entertainment includes El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Raul Acosta & Oro Solido, Brenda K. Starr, and more.

Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant

This is the original beauty contest for crustaceans. Families, kids, businesses and organizations are invited to enter their crustacean in this annual contest. The winner receives the Coveted Cucumber Rind Cup and gets to walk down a flowery runway. Registration is free and is open to all ages.
Hermit Crab Races

Stairway to the Stars Lighthouse Climb

Climb the 199 steps to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse on evenings of the New Moon, when the moon is so dark it blends in with the night sky and is invisible to the naked eye. Stars and constellations are more visible on clear nights during the New Moon.

Paddle to a Cure

Get your paddles in the water and join the 2023 Paddle to a Cure as we paddle through the waterways of the Jersey Shore. Paddle to a Cure is a fully-supported paddle with support vessels and route options of 5K and 10K distances. It will be followed by a post-paddle lunch, recognition program, and Cystic Fibrosis research and medical update. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.
