West Cape May’s Salute to Summer Festival (formerly the Tomato Festival)

Formerly known as the Tomato Festival, West Cape May is hosting a Salute to Summer Festival at the Borough’s Backyard Park where the summer season will be celebrated with a patriotic-themed festival. Festivities are planned to begin at 9:00am and continue until 4:00pm. Proceeds from the quirky event benefit the WCM Shade Tree Commission in their endeavor to protect and improve the tree canopy of West Cape May.

Wildwood Boardwalk Craft Show

Craft show is held various weekends throughout the summer, rain or shine, and features all handmade products.

Hands-On History at Historic Cold Spring Village
Saturday September 4, 2021 and Sunday, September 5, 2021 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
720 Route 9 South, Cape May

Two days of family-friendly, interactive and educational fun are planned for Historic Cold Spring Village’s “Hands-on History”. Children will be given a “Pastport” at the start of their Village trip, which can be stamped at the buildings they visit after completing a take-home craft or activity, like writing with a quill pen, carding wool or churning butter. “Pastports” can be redeemed at the Country Store for a free treat!

Slammedenuff NJ Car Show
Saturday, September 4, 2021 and Sunday, September 5, 2021, 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm each day
Wildwoods Convention Center

Car Show will feature over 250 customized road legal air suspension cars from the mid-1990’s to brand new. Admission is $45 for adults for both days or $25 for one day; children under 12 are free.

Ed’s Funcade World Championship Skeeball Tournament

Murder Mystery Dinner: The Trouble With Silver Spoons

Revolutionary & Civil War Weekend at Historic Cold Spring Village
Saturday, September 11, 2021 and Sunday, September 12, 2021 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
720 Route 9 South, Cape May

Authentically clad and equipped reenactors bring the American Revolution & Civil War to life on the grounds of Historic Cold Spring Village. This event will feature encampments, weaponry, and demonstrations from living history groups, including Continentals and Hessians. Visitors can experience an artillery demonstration on both days. Children can search the Village for clues in the Patriot Spy Game on both Saturday and Sunday. John Ryan, HCSV Assistant Director, will give a special presentation, Flags of the American Revolution, in the Welcome Center on both Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. A reading of the Declaration of Independence at 12pm each day at the Village Gazebo.

Your First Mud Run

“Your First Mud Run” is the ONLY mud run in the country designed to allow both parents and kids to run together. These courses are the perfect “first timer” event, where anyone 5 years and older can participate in the fun. Celebrate the life of Greg DiAntonio with this Reggae Fest featuring live entertainment, auction, raffles, door prizes, food stations and more. Advance ticket purchases are $50 and tickets at the door are $55. Proceeds benefit Wildwood Catholic High School and the Greg DiAntonio Memorial Fund.

Ocean City Airport Festival
Saturday, September 18, 2021 and Sunday, September 19, 2021 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM and Sunday, September 19, 2021 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Municipal Airport, 26th & Bay Avenue

This annual festival features a ground display of unusual airplanes ranging from World War II Planes to Classics and Warbirds. The event will feature a parachute jump with a landing on the 7th Street Beach at 7:00 pm on Saturday followed by a Pyrotechnic Show from Team Fastrax on Saturday from 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm, viewable from the entire boardwalk. On Sunday, there will be an aerobatic air show over the ocean between 6th – 14th Streets.

Sea Isle City’s Fall Family Festival
Saturday, September 18, 2021 9:00am to 4:00pm
JFK Boulevard & the Promenade, Sea Isle

Fall Family Festival is Sea Isle’s most popular autumn festival, featuring two-days of family-friendly activities and entertainment. The festival will begin with a Seaside Vendor Craft Market along the oceanfront Promenade.  The Fall Family Festival Food Court will be open in front of Excursion Park, located at JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue, where a tempting selection of local delicacies and traditional festival-fare will be on sale.  At Excursion Park, festival-goers will enjoy live music and a variety of free family activities including free amusement rides from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Jitney Service will be available on Saturday starting at 9:00 am.  Free parking is available throughout the city. In case of rain, most activities will be cancelled but the Seaside Craft Market and Food Court are rain or shine.

Sea Isle City’s Fall Family Festival Antique Auto Show & Parade
Sunday September 19, 2020 – 9:00am to 1:30pm
Promenade, between 29th Street and JFK Boulevard, Sea Isle

The Fall Family Festival weekend will include an Antique Auto Show along the Promenade. History-buffs and auto-enthusiasts will flock to display and admire scores of vintage vehicles while enjoying live music by The Snake Brothers Band. At 1:00 pm, trophies will be presented to the winners of the Antique Auto Show. At 1:30, the vehicles will parade through town, bringing this year’s Skimmer Festival to a spectacular close.

Sea Isle City’s Fall Family Festival Historical Trolley Tours
Sunday September 19, 2020 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard and the Promenade, Sea Isle

Free Guided Historical Trolley Tours will be offered every half-hour in front of Excursion Park.The tours will be led by members of the Sea Isle City Historical Society, who will point-out notable landmarks and explain how Sea Isle has grown over the years.

Grand Lighthouse Cruise “Delaware Bay Adventure”

Visit 7 offshore lighthouses aboard the Cape May Whale Watcher to learn the unique history of each. Cruise includes breakfast and lunch buffets. The cruise departs from the Miss Chris Marina. Parking on site, please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. Approx. 5 hours in duration.

Fall Wildwood Big Show – Fall Classic Car Show
Friday September 24th 12:00 pm-9:00 pm, Saturday September 25th 9:00 am-9:00 pm, and Sunday September 26th 10:00am-1:00pm
Downtown Wildwood along Pacific Avenue and Wildwoods Convention Center

The Fall Boardwalk Classic Car Show is back with a twist for 2021 – two locations for one great weekend! The Fall Classic Car Show will be temporarily moved to Downtown Wildwood along Pacific Avenue. Additionally, the Wildwoods Convention Center will feature the Big Show Ocean Invitational, Car Corral and vendors.

Wildwood’s Irish Fall Festival
Friday September 24, 2021 – Sunday September 26, 202, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm daily
Olde New Jersey Avenue and surrounding pubs, North Wildwood

The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrates Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors. Bus service available throughout the event dates.  Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1-mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, beer garden and Catholic Mass.  The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues, North Wildwood.
