Dune Grass Planting

Volunteers should report to 30th Street and Avalon Avenue. A demonstration will be given on how to plant the grass, special tools will be provided and a light lunch will be served at 11:00 at the Community Hall.

Avalon Historical Society Clam Shell Competition

30th Street Beach

Try your hand pitching clam shells! This is a historical event played on Avalon’s beaches. There is no experience necessary. Tournaments will be held for singles and doubles. Register and practice beginning at 8:30 am.

Avalon Festival of Trees
Wednesday, November 25, 2020 – 5:00pm and Friday, November 27, 2020 12:00 noon – 8:00 pm 
The Whitebrier, 260 20th Street, Avalon

More than 30 trees and wreaths have been decorated by local businesses and residents. This event showcases their work and allows attendees to bid on their favorites. Bidding begins on Wednesday November 25 at 5:00 pm and continues on Friday November 27 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm.

Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children Turkey Trot 5K Run/ 1-Mile Walk
Friday, November 27, 2020 – 10:00am
3001 Avalon Avenue

This 5k run and 1.5-mile family walk is a fun way to be together and raise money for a worthy cause.  Proceeds of the walk/run benefit the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children.
