Easter Egg Roll at Hawk Haven

Celebrate Spring Break at Hawk Haven with an Easter Egg Roll, which is a race where an egg is pushed through the grass with a long-handled spoon. It’s a timeless tradition dating back to the early 1800’s in England. Competitive categories include a Relay (4-person teams only), Adults Team (21+), Family Team (mixed age), Individual and Kids (age 6 and under). Live music on the Crushpad will be featured as well.

Full Moon Lighthouse Climb

Let the light of the full moon guide you up the 199 stairs to the starry top of the Cape May Lighthouse, located in Cape May Point State Park, Lower Township. Tower admission is free for “Friends” members. $15 for adults, $8 for children (ages 3-12) and active military or veterans. You can purchase tickets from the Keeper at the Lighthouse the night of the event.

NJ Audubon’s Cape May Spring Birding Festival

A variety of patriotic family activities, programs, and music will be taking place and the Village’s restored historic buildings will be open, featuring demonstrations of Early American trades and crafts. Kids can also take part in the “Patriot Spy Game,” visiting Village buildings to look for clues using a real Revolutionary War cipher. Cost: $14 Adults – $10 Kids (3-10) – Members Free.

Hands-On History at Historic Cold Spring Village

Two days of family-friendly, interactive and educational fun are planned for Historic Cold Spring Village’s “Hands-on History”. Children will be given a “Pastport” at the start of their Village trip, which can be stamped at the buildings they visit after completing a take-home craft or activity, like writing with a quill pen, carding wool or churning butter. “Pastports” can be redeemed at the Country Store for a free treat!
Cost: $14 Adults – $10 Kids (3-10) – Members Free.

Arts, History, & Culture Weekend at Historic Cold Spring Village

Arts, History, and Culture Weekend will focus on the 1700 and 1800s with performers and speakers representing Colonial, African American, and Native cultures and the changing demographics of the area due to increasing immigration. The goal is to focus on life, art, music, crafts, and foods that make us all Americans. Cost: $14 Adults – $10 Kids (3-10) – Members Free.

Automobiles, Trains, & Planes Weekend at Historic Cold Spring Village
Saturday July 25 – Sunday July 26, 2020 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Antique and classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other vehicles line the tree shaded Village paths. Take a ride on a “speeder,” gasoline-powered railroad track inspection vehicles, provided by the Volunteer Railroaders Association, on the original Cape May Seashore Line railroad tracks. Visitors may enjoy a tractor hayride around the Village 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. Admission to Naval Air Station Wildwood is included in admission cost.

Christmas in July

Join Santa at the Cape May Lighthouse for a Christmas in July celebration including food, music, craft vendors and family-friendly activities. This event is free and children can climb the lighthouse for free as well.

Down on the Farm Weekend at Historic Cold Spring Village

Experience life on an Early American farm through hands-on activities and exhibits at Historic Cold Spring Village. Special exhibits include collections of antique and modern farming equipment and tools and tours of the historic Corson-Gandy Barn, c. 1880 (home to Levi the Village horse). Children may participate in farm chores at the Corson-Gandy Barn throughout the day, visit with farm animals and participate in the Family Activity Area featuring games and take-home crafts. Cost: $14 Adults – $10 Kids (3-10) – Members Free.

Craft Beer, Music and Crab Festival

This 7th annual event features local and regional craft beers and favorite summer foods including steamed crabs, pulled pork, crab cakes, shrimp and hot dogs, as well as food from regional vendors and a crafts and collectibles show.

National Lighthouse Day

Celebrate National Lighthouse Day at the Cape May Lighthouse. Make your own crafts, listen to songs of the sea, meet the lighthouse keepers, shop for nautical merchandise and more. Free admission to the activities, separate admission to climb the lighthouse but kids climb free with a paying adult.
