Ocean City’s Fourth of July Celebration

Music Pier Beach, Ocean City.

A kite flying competition begins at 7:00 pm, followed by entertainment on the beach next to the Music Pier. A spectacular boardwalk fireworks display tops off the evening at 9:00 pm.

Independence Day Family Parade

Check-in is at 9th and Atlantic Avenues, North Wildwood

Registration for this parade takes place from 8:15 am – 8:45 am. The parade begins at 9:00 am at 9th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood and proceeds north to 1st and Surf Avenues. No rain date. Prizes awarded for the best decorated bikes wagons, strollers, scooters and low speed vehicles in red, white and blue theme.

Patriotic Pooch Parade

Check in for Pooch Parade at Bill Henfey Park from 8:00 am until 8:45 am. The Pooch Parade will join up with the Family parade at 8th & Atlantic Avenues and will proceed north to 1st & Surf Avenues. No rain date. Pooches can be registered the day of the parade. All ages are welcome to participate in the parade

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular

Celebrate Independence Day on the Wildwoods Boardwalk with a July th Fireworks Spectacular. This special fireworks show is synchronized to patriotic music playing over the Wildwoods Boardwalk sound system. Launched from Pine Avenue & the Beach, the fireworks are visible from anywhere on the Boardwalk.

Maryanne Pastry’s Cornhole for Cancer

Maryanne Pastry Shoppe is hosting this fundraising tournament for the organization, For Pete’s Sake, in memory of their late family member, Peter R. Bossow, Jr., a SIC lifeguard. This tournament is a Round Robin format that guarantees every team will play four games.  The bracket is then ranked after the round robin by record and points, and a single elimination playoff bracket is made with the top eight teams. Both team members MUST be registered at the same time with a team name at time of registration, to be received by noon on July 6th. Can’t make the tournament? Make a donation to the For Pete’s Sake organization in honor or memory of a loved one.

Wildwood Crest Sand Sculpting Festival

Grab your buckets and shovels and get ready to create works of art in the sand! This amateur and semi-pro sand sculpting contest is hosted by professional world-renowned sand sculptor Matt Long, a former cast member of the Travel Channel’s SandMasters, and “Can You Dig It!” Sand Tools. Free to all participants and spectators. Fun activities featured at this year’s festival include live music, beach games, and family entertainment.  Sculptures will be judged on creativity, execution, composition and overall presentation, and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each division. New Jersey Jeep Beach Invasion
Friday July 15 – Sunday July 17, 2022
Wildwood Beach

The Summer Wildwood event Jeep Invasion is the largest gathering of Jeeps in the Northeast with 2500 Jeeps in attendance, and over 100 of the industries top vendors. The entire event takes place on the beach. All Jeeps, and vendors are parked on the beach for this three day event, there is even a beach obstacle course run by Rausch Creek Off Road Park. The event is family friendly and has become a yearly vacation for many of our participants and vendors! All Jeeps must be pre-registered to park on the beach, there is no day of registration, however spectator admission is free.

Boogie Board Races

Annual wave riding competition. Registration begins at 9:00 am, contest begins at 10:00 am. Prizes will be awarded for Most Creative, Longest and Best Overall Ride in different age categories. Must bring your own boogie board.

Sun and Sand Police & Fire Survivors 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

Fundraising 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk benefits the survivors of police/fire who died in the line of duty. ALL ARE WELCOME! Start time is 8:00 a.m. at the. Registration is $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile Walk. Register online. The first 300 participants receive t-shirts and awards will be presented to winners.

Wildwood Beach Patrol & 21 Down Day at the Beach

Wildwood Beach Patrol proudly hosts the Annual Beach Day with 21 Down.The central meeting area will be at Lincoln Avenue and the beach in front of Wildwood Beach Patrol Headquarters, at the 20-foot guard tower dubbed “Tower X.” 21 Down is a non-profit, Down Syndrome awareness group serving families, educators and healthcare professionals of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. The Beach Day incorporates safe, guarded ocean play time for the children and families of 21 Down, as well as opportunities for interaction and educational opportunities with seasoned lifeguards as they discuss beach safety with attendees. Short breaks for lifeguard style relay races, lunch, cold beverages and ice cream are also provided as beach safety is reinforced. The Wildwood Beach Patrol, with the support of local community businesses, strives to create great Wildwood memories for these children and their families with the Beach Day event.

Wildwood’s Christmas in July Golf & Cart Parade

North Wildwood Christmas in July with Santa Claus

The lifeguards of the North Wildwood Beach Patrol will host a visit from Santa Claus along the North Wildwood Beach. He will make stops along the way for family photos and will have live holiday music and candy canes for all. Everyone is encouraged to decorate their beach space and wear festive holiday attire to welcome Santa.

Wildwood Crest Christmas in July Festival & Boat Parade

The Borough of Wildwood Crest will host the 4th Annual Christmas in July Festival. Celebrate the Christmas season in the summertime with this family-oriented festival along Sunset lake. Live music with Jamison Celtic Rock (holiday-themed songs along with pop, rock and Irish), food, children and family activities. FREE photos with Santa! The festival will end with a boat parade in Sunset Lake. The event will also include a house-decorating contest for bayfront homes in the Sunset Lake area, with prizes going to the winners. Those interested in registering a boat or kayak for the parade or in participating in the house-decorating contest should email Maria at christmasjulyboatparade@gmail.com. Registration for both the boat parade and the house-decorating contest is free. Prizes will be awarded to all participants in the boat parade, with grand prizes to the best-decorated boats, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. The Wildwoods Loves Waddlers Contest
July 26, 2022 Registration at 9:00 am, Waddle begins at 9:30 am
Wildwoods Convention Center, Wildwood

A fun event for infants and toddlers (up to 2 years old) to show off their speedy crawling or “waddling” technique on the day before the official Wildwoods Baby Parade. The contest is free. The first 40 entries will receive a sand bucket filled with fun prizes and one winner in each category will receive a special grand prize of passes to Morey’s Piers. Waddlers are encouraged to also participate in the official Wildwoods Baby Parade (a tradition since 1909!) the next day at 6:00 pm.

A Wildwoods tradition since 1909! Judging occurs while participants are lined up. Line-up begins at 5:30 pm. Parade steps off at 6:00 pm and proceeds 10 blocks north on boardwalk to Cedar Avenue where we will turn left and announce the winners & present awards at the boardwalk extension across from Morey’s Piers Mariners Landing. East Lynne Theater Company presents “Who Am I This Time? (Other Conundrums Of Love)”

This comedy consists of three tales, the first of which is called “Long Walk to Forever” about a soldier who goes AWOL so he can hitchhike home to talk his childhood sweetheart out of marrying the wrong man.  In the next tale, “Who Am I This Time?”, a new woman in town falls in love with the man she’s performing with in the community theater production of “A Streetcar Named Desire.”  The last of the trio, “Go Back to Your Precious Wife and Son,” centers on a successful writer who realizes that being married to a film star can be difficult.

Ultimate Beach Frisbee Tournament

It’s the largest beach Frisbee tournament in the world celebrating 30 years in 2022, featuring more than 500 teams from all over the globe! The tournament is a 4-on-4 team competition for players of all skill levels, ages 18 and over. Free to spectators.

Stone Harbor Festival of Lights Boat Parade
