Avalon Dune Grass Planting

Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to join the Borough of Avalon for its annual spring dune grass planting. The project will begin at Avalon Community Hall for training and supply distribution, followed by a morning spent giving back to our beautiful beaches. Volunteers will be provided with a bagged lunch. Please register before April 11 by calling Sue Keen at 609-967-5924 or Chuck McDonnell at 609-967-3066. Rain date: April 24.

This year’s theme is Walking on Sunshine, featuring fashions by Stone Harbor boutique Gingy’s. The event will feature lunch, cocktails, auction items, and a great day raising funds for the Play With Jack Foundation.
Selfie Scavenger Hunt

This selfie scavenger hunt involves teams of no more than 6 with roadworthy car and licensed driver, ALL ages welcome. Smart phone or digital camera for quick pic uploads required. Registration fee is $25 in advance, $30 day of event and participants are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the church food pantry. Prizes will be awarded. This event is hosted by Girl Scout Troup 41012.
Sports Memorabilia Show

Former Philadelphia Phillies Coach Charlie Manuel and former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Seth Joyner will be part of the show. They will greet fans and lead Q&A sessions. Vendors with merchandise and items representing a variety of sports and teams will be for sale at the show.
