Independence Day Family Parade
Monday, July 4, 2022 9:00 am
Check-in is at 9th and Atlantic Avenues, North Wildwood

Registration for this parade takes place from 8:15 am – 8:45 am. The parade begins at 9:00 am at 9th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood and proceeds north to 1st and Surf Avenues. No rain date. Prizes awarded for the best decorated bikes wagons, strollers, scooters and low speed vehicles in red, white and blue theme.

Patriotic Pooch Parade

Check in for Pooch Parade at Bill Henfey Park from 8:00 am until 8:45 am. The Pooch Parade will join up with the Family parade at 8th & Atlantic Avenues and will proceed north to 1st & Surf Avenues. No rain date. Pooches can be registered the day of the parade. All ages are welcome to participate in the parade

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular

This special fireworks show is synchronized to patriotic music playing over the Wildwoods Boardwalk sound system. Wildwood Crest Sand Sculpting Festival

Grab your buckets and shovels and get ready to create works of art in the sand! This amateur and semi-pro sand sculpting contest is hosted by professional world-renowned sand sculptor Matt Long, a former cast member of the Travel Channel’s SandMasters, and “Can You Dig It!” Sand Tools. Free to all participants and spectators. Fun activities featured at this year’s festival include live music, beach games, and family entertainment.  Sculptures will be judged on creativity, execution, composition and overall presentation, and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each division. Rain or shine.

Sidewalk Chalk Competition

Sidewalk chalk drawing competition begins at 9 a.m. Judging takes place at 10:45 a.m. and awards presentation at 11:00 a.m. You can register the day of the event. Winners will be announced on Facebook.

New Jersey Jeep Beach Invasion
Friday July 15 – Sunday July 17, 2022
Wildwood Beach

The Summer Wildwood event Jeep Invasion is the largest gathering of Jeeps in the Northeast with 2500 Jeeps in attendance, and over 100 of the industries top vendors. The entire event takes place on the beach. All Jeeps, and vendors are parked on the beach for this three day event, there is even a beach obstacle course run by Rausch Creek Off Road Park. The event is family friendly and has become a yearly vacation for many of our participants and vendors! All Jeeps must be pre-registered to park on the beach, there is no day of registration, however spectator admission is free.

Boogie Board Races

Sun and Sand Police & Fire Survivors 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

Fundraising 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk benefits the survivors of police/fire who died in the line of duty. ALL ARE WELCOME! Start time is 8:00 a.m. at the. Registration is $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile Walk. Register online. The first 300 participants receive t-shirts and awards will be presented to winners.

Wildwood Beach Patrol & 21 Down Day at the Beach

Wildwood Beach Patrol proudly hosts the Annual Beach Day with 21 Down.The central meeting area will be at Lincoln Avenue and the beach in front of Wildwood Beach Patrol Headquarters, at the 20-foot guard tower dubbed “Tower X.” 21 Down is a non-profit, Down Syndrome awareness group serving families, educators and healthcare professionals of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. The Beach Day incorporates safe, guarded ocean play time for the children and families of 21 Down, as well as opportunities for interaction and educational opportunities with seasoned lifeguards as they discuss beach safety with attendees. Short breaks for lifeguard style relay races, lunch, cold beverages and ice cream are also provided as beach safety is reinforced. The Wildwood Beach Patrol, with the support of local community businesses, strives to create great Wildwood memories for these children and their families with the Beach Day event.

North Wildwood Christmas in July with Santa Claus

The lifeguards of the North Wildwood Beach Patrol will host a visit from Santa Claus along the North Wildwood Beach. He will make stops along the way for family photos and will have live holiday music and candy canes for all. Everyone is encouraged to decorate their beach space and wear festive holiday attire to welcome Santa.

Wildwood Crest Christmas in July Festival & Boat Parade
Saturday July 23, 2022 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Sunset Lake along New Jersey Avenue from Stanton to Miami avenues

The Borough of Wildwood Crest will host the 4th Annual Christmas in July Festival. Celebrate the Christmas season in the summertime with this family-oriented festival along Sunset lake. Live music with Jamison Celtic Rock (holiday-themed songs along with pop, rock and Irish), food, children and family activities. FREE photos with Santa! The festival will end with a boat parade in Sunset Lake. The event will also include a house-decorating contest for bayfront homes in the Sunset Lake area, with prizes going to the winners. Those interested in registering a boat or kayak for the parade or in participating in the house-decorating contest should email Maria at christmasjulyboatparade@gmail.com. Registration for both the boat parade and the house-decorating contest is free. Prizes will be awarded to all participants in the boat parade, with grand prizes to the best-decorated boats, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. Prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the house-decorating contest.

Wildwood’s Christmas in July Golf & Cart Parade

The Wildwoods Loves Waddlers Contest
July 26, 2022 Registration at 9:00 am, Waddle begins at 9:30 am
Wildwoods Convention Center, Wildwood

A fun event for infants and toddlers (up to 2 years old) to show off their speedy crawling or “waddling” technique on the day before the official Wildwoods Baby Parade. The contest is free. The first 40 entries will receive a sand bucket filled with fun prizes and one winner in each category will receive a special grand prize of passes to Morey’s Piers. Waddlers are encouraged to also participate in the official Wildwoods Baby Parade (a tradition since 1909!) the next day at 6:00 pm.

A Wildwoods tradition since 1909! Judging occurs while participants are lined up. Line-up begins at 5:30 pm. Parade steps off at 6:00 pm and proceeds 10 blocks north on boardwalk to Cedar Avenue where we will turn left and announce the winners & present awards at the boardwalk extension across from Morey’s Piers Mariners Landing. Ultimate Beach Frisbee Tournament

It’s the largest beach Frisbee tournament in the world celebrating 30 years in 2022, featuring more than 500 teams from all over the globe! The tournament is a 4-on-4 team competition for players of all skill levels, ages 18 and over. Free to spectators.

National Night Out (North Wildwood)

This yearly event offers an ideal opportunity to build neighborhood unity and strengthen police-community partnerships in a continuing effort to build a better City and safer America. City departments will set up displays around the block, representing police, fire, public works, beach patrol and recreation. Enjoy a FREE barbeque, games, various activities for children, hourly giveaways, and more. A movie will begin at dusk. Sponsored by the City of North Wildwood Police Department.

National Night Out (Wildwood Crest)

The Borough of Wildwood Crest Police Department will host a fun-filled evening of free activities for the entire family as part of the National Night Out campaign. Festivities will include DJ entertainment, food, games, prizes, giveaways and more for the entire family. Moon bounces, a face painter and a dunk tank will be included in the fun. Representatives from the Wildwood Crest Police Department, Fire Department, Ambulance Corps, Beach Patrol and Recreation Department, as well as a handful of Cape May County agencies, will all partake in the event. Emergency vehicles from a variety of departments from both Wildwood Crest and Cape May County will line the Centennial Park area.

The 2nd Annual Spanish Food & Music Festival on the Wildwood beach will be the largest Spanish music Festival this summer! Musical entertainment on Saturday features Jerry Rivera (Grammy Award and Latin Grammy Award Nominee), La India (Latin Grammy Award Winner), Grupo Mania (Latin Grammy Award Nominee), and Judy Torres. The main concert will take place on Saturday on the beach between Mariners Pier and Adventure Pier.

Wildwood September 11th Remembrance Ceremony

This event is a solemn September 11, 2001 Remembrance Ceremony. Organized by the Wildwood Business Improvement District for the past several years, the ceremony will honor and remember our fellow Americans who were killed on that tragic day, as well as the first responders who have died over the past 21 years due to 9/11 related illnesses. The ceremony will include 9/11 First Responders, representatives from the City of Wildwood Fire and Police Departments, as well as local religious and civic leaders. In addition to the speakers, The City of Wildwood Fire Department will present “Ringing of the Bell” and ”Presenting of the Colors” by the City of Wildwood Honor Guard. Everyone is encouraged to attend and remember so that tragic day is never forgotten.

Irish Fall Festival

The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrates Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors. A spaghetti eating contest will take place as well. Friday night live entertainment features Vito Picone & The Elegants (“Little Star”) and Saturday night entertainment features Tommy C., The Voice of Tribute, as well as Lou Christie. The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce presents a Food and Music Street Fair featuring a full day of fantastic food options, music, shopping and more. The festival will provide fun for the kids with a “Kids Korner,” open from 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm, featuring games, pumpkin painting, and inflatable bounce houses. The festival is free to attend.

Wildwoods ‘50s ‘60s & ‘70s Weekend

This event features a ’50s Dance Party featuring The Cameos at the Wildwoods Convention Center on Friday night from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm. Tickets are $16 plus tax per person. A FREE street fair will take place on Saturday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm featuring classic cars, food and craft vendors, and live entertainment. Saturday night’s concert in the Wildwoods Convention Center begins at 7:00 pm (doors open at 5:30 pm) featuring music from the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s. Saturday night musical entertainment showcases The Vogues, Tommy James & The Shondells, The Voice of Tribute starring Tommy C (as the voice of Frankie Valli, Lou Christie, Bobby Darren and Frank Sinatra), and Nathaniel Cullors as Young Michael Jackson. Wildwood’s Winter Wonderland at Holly Beach Park

Enjoy Wildwood’s very own Winter Wonderland at Holly Beach Park. On December 9th and 10th and December 16th and 17th, the light show will run every twenty minutes from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Bring the family and enjoy the light show with complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn. From Sunday, December 11th through Saturday December 17th the light show will display nightly from 6:30 pm-7:00 pm. Lights and decorations will be on display until January 15th. Wildwood Crest Holiday Lights Walk

The Borough of Wildwood Crest Mayor’s Wellness Campaign and the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department are sponsoring a community Holiday Lights Walk. Walkers will meet at the corner of Rambler Road and New Jersey Avenue and will take an approximately 30-minute walk along Sunset Lake and the surrounding neighborhood to view the various holiday and Christmas light displays. The walk will be led by Wildwood Crest Mayor’s Wellness Campaign coordinator Laura Farrall. The Holiday Lights Walk is free but registration is encouraged. Those interested are asked to send an email to lfarrall@wildwoodcrest.org. Walkers should wear warm clothes and bring a flashlight. All participants will receive a small holiday gift. Rain/inclement weather date for the event is Tuesday, December 20, at 5:30 pm.
