North Wildwood St. Patrick’s Day Celebration & Parade
March 14, 2020 11:30 am
North Wildwood City Hall, 10th and Atlantic Avenues

This ceremony will begin on the front steps of North Wildwood City Hall beginning at 11:30 am and a festive parade will begin at noon. The parade proceeds north on Atlantic Avenue to Olde NJ Avenue.

Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Beach at 19th Avenue in North Wildwood

This annual Easter Egg Hunt allows children 11 and under to find eggs and collect prizes.

Greater Wildwood Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday April 11, 2020 12:00 noon
This egg hunt is held on the beach at Lincoln Avenue in Wildwood

Children ages 1-12 are invited to dig for eggs buried in the sand. Each egg contains a toy and a golden egg is worth a bigger prize. Rain date is Sunday.

Pour into Summer Wine Festival

Get ready to “Sip, Savor & Celebrate” at the Pour into Summer Wine Festival, which is new this year. Eight of New Jersey’s best wineries will be there to kick off the summer season in style. Attendees can relax while enjoying the sampling and purchasing of over 150 refreshing New Jersey wines.  There will be live music, artisan crafter’s works for sale, and delicious eats and treats served up by some of New Jersey’s favorite food trucks. Admission to this event is free, however there is a fee for Wine Tastings and all purchases.

Captain Kidd Pirate Day

It’s Captain Kidd Pirate Day! Pirate parade begins at 11:00 am, followed by a treasure hunt at 19th & the beach. Children ages 12 & under can register to participate in the parade (check in at 10:00 am at the 26th street entrance) or can just participate without the parade and receive a treasure chest and be entered into a raffle drawing (enter on the 20th street entrance).

This is Wildwood’s annual event to officially start the summer season.

Wildwood International Kite Festival Friday May 22, 2020 12:00 noon – Monday May 25 2:00 pm
Beach at Rio Grande Avenue and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center
Come check out the largest kite festival in North America! Events begins on Friday at 12:00 noon with the Unlocking of the Ocean media event outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center.  Other festivities include opening of the kite sales tent, a Friday night social via the local kite club and the 9:00 pm illuminated kite fly.  On Saturday, silent and loud auctions will be held, and on Saturday & Sunday attendees will participate in the flying of large inflatable kites, sport kite demos, team flying and family games. On Monday, the World Indoor Kite Competition will be held inside the Wildwoods Convention Center from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm.

Memorial Day Parade and Candlelight Vigil
May 26, 2019 7:30 pm 
Wildwood and Atlantic Avenues, Wildwood

Parade proceeds south to Andrews Avenue and Ocean Avenue, ending at Burk Avenue. A candlelight vigil and ceremony will take place at the Wildwood Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, an exact half-size black granite replica of the official Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. at sunset.

North Wildwood Memorial Day Ceremony
Monday May 25, 2020
Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Flagpole and North Wildwood Veterans Monument, North Wildwood

The memorial event begins at 9:30 am at the Lighthouse where the names of the VFW Post 5941 members who have deceased since last Memorial Day will be read and their service honored. The ceremony will continue at 10:00 am at the Monument. Hosted by VFW Post 5941.

This ceremony features speakers, recognition of deceased comrades, firing squad, “Taps” and wreath laying ceremonies at the Post. The service will continue at Wildwood’s Memory Lane followed by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.  After the services the Police Explorers along with the Wildwood Beach Patrol will lay a wreath in ocean on the Burk Avenue beach just behind the Wildwoods Convention Center.

Country & Line Dance Weekend at the Shore

Wildwood Airshow
Friday June 5, 2020 – Sunday June 7, 2020 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm
2201 Boardwalk (performances will be visible from anywhere on the beach)

The inaugural Wildwood Airshow will feature a myriad of aviators from around the world, awe-inspiring aerobatics, precision movements of military demos, and historic military aircraft. A practice day will be held on Friday and aircraft performances will take place on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. Admission is free. For more information click here.

Slammedenuff NJ Car Show
Sunday June 7, 2020 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Wildwoods Convention Center

Show will feature over 250 customized road legal air suspension cars from the mid-1990’s to brand new. Admission is $25 for adults; children under 12 are free.

New Year’s in North Wildwood Mummers Brigade & String Band Show
Friday June 12, 2020 6:00 pm and Saturday June 13, 2020 3:00 pm
Pub district, North Wildwood

Mummers Brigades and String Bands from the New Year’s Day Parade in Philadelphia will entertain crowds starting on Friday night at 6:00 pm  with the Fancy Brigade Pub Crawl through local drinking establishments in the North Wildwood Entertainment District. A colorful Mummers parade will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday along Olde New Jersey Avenue where you can get up-close views of the beautiful costumes and intricate dance steps. Rain date is Sunday.

Wildwood Beer Fest
Saturday June 13, 2020 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm or 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

The Wildwood Beer Fest is a beer tasting event to celebrate the art of locally brewed craft beer. A ticket to the event grants participants with access to over 100 brews, a commemorative tasting cup, live music, delicious food and craft vendors. Beer sampling is unlimited with a ticket and food and merchandise are available for purchase. Entrance will only be permitted to ticket holders 21 years old with a valid ID, no exceptions. Ticketholders are only allowed to attend one session, either 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased for $40 in advance or $45 at the gate while tickets last. Designated Driver tickets will be available for purchase at the gate for $5 with a valid ID.

Barefoot Country Music Fest

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular

Independence Day Family Parade

Parade begins at 9:00 am at 9th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood and proceeds north to 1st & Surf Avenues. No rain date. Prizes awarded for the best decorated bikes in red, white and blue theme.

Patriotic Pooch Parade

The Patriotic Pooch Parade will join in the march of the Independence Day Parade through the island at Bill Henfey Park. Check-in for parade participants will be from 8:15 am. Dogs of all shapes and sizes will parade along the streets of the Wildwoods dressed in patriotic garb alongside decorated bicycles. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed pooches.

NJ State BBQ Championship & Anglesea Blues Festival

Grab your buckets and shovels and head to the beach to create works of art in the sand. This amateur and semi-pro sand sculpting contest is hosted by professional world-renowned sand sculptor Matt Long and “Can You Dig It!” Sand Tools. Free to all participants and spectators. Sculptures will be judged on creativity, execution, composition and overall presentation, and prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each division. Rain or shine.

Christmas in July with Santa Claus

National Lighthouse Day

You are invited to join us in celebrating National Lighthouse Day. The ceremony begins with a formal patriotic ceremony honoring our lighthouse and Coast Guard heritage. The New Jersey Lighthouse Society will provide games and surprises for all children. The lighthouse will be open, admission is free and donations are accepted.

The public is invited to join us as we remember the Americans lost on that tragic day years ago.

‘Boots at the Beach’ Country Music Festival

Irish Fall Festival

Olde New Jersey Avenue and surrounding pubs, North Wildwood

The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrates Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors. Bus service available throughout the event dates.  Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1-mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, and Catholic Mass.  The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues, North Wildwood.

Wildwood Crest Seafarers Celebration

Massive bayfront street festival at Sunset Lake includes live music, craft vendors, food, family entertainment, and children’s activities including a performance by the Vahalla Pirates, magic shows, a live turtle exhibition, interactive games, roving street performers, pie-eating contests, bounce houses, face painting and more. The daytime celebration goes from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, followed by live music at 7:30 pm with The Chatterband and a fireworks show at 9:00 pm at Centennial Park. Admission is free.

‘The Race of Gentlemen’ Vintage Car & Motorcycle Beach Drag Races

Beach between Spencer and Wildwood Avenues, Wildwood

Over 100 vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1947), including Indian, Harley Davidson, Excelcior, Ford, Dodge Brothers and more, will compete in an exhibition style beach race. No coolers will be permitted on the beach; beverages will be available for sale for your convenience. Race times may vary depending on ocean tide. The Wildwoods Food & Music Festival

Atlantic Avenue between Wildwood and Schellenger Avenues, Wildwood

The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce will host a FREE street fair featuring 2 stages of live music  plus crafters, food vendors, beer garden, games, a pie eating contest and much more! A “Kids Korner” with activities including pumpkin painting, hat-making and inflatable bounce houses will take place from 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm. Rain date is scheduled for Sunday October 11, 2020.

Fabulous ’50s & Beyond Weekend
Friday October 16, 2020 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm and Saturday October 17, 2020 11:00 am – 9:00 pm.
Wildwoods Convention Center

Friday night features a ’50s Dance Party at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Tickets are $16 plus tax per person. A free street fair will take place on Saturday featuring classic cars, food and craft vendors, a Doo Wop Bus Tour, and live entertainment. Saturday night’s concert in the Wildwoods Convention Center begins at 7:00 pm featuring Little Anthony & the Imperials from the 1950’s, Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone from the 1960’s, and The Spinners from the 1970’s. Concert will also feature the Mahoney Brothers performing as Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis. Tickets go on sale at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce (3306 Pacific Avenue) starting May 4th at 9:00 am.  Additional ticket sales will be at the Wildwoods Convention Center Box Office, through Ticketmaster.com or any other Ticketmaster locations.

Downtown Wildwood Halloween Movie & Treats

The Wildwood Business Improvement District will host a Free Halloween event where treat bags will be given to all children 12 years old and younger. At dusk, the movie Hotel Transylvania 3 will be shown. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase during the movie. Free parking is available behind the Deck and Yellow Umbrella Gift Shop (on the east side of Pacific Avenue, between Oak and Schellenger Avenues) and behind Alumni Grill, (on the west side of Pacific Avenue, between Oak and Wildwood Avenues).

Greater Wildwood Elks Halloween Haunted House

North Wildwood Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Block Party

Olde NJ Avenue between 2nd & Walnut Avenues, North Wildwood

Families are encouraged to bring their vehicles decorated for Halloween. Children will come in costume and visit each car where families will provide treats from the trunks of their cars. There will be no judging of the children’s costumes, but prizes will be awarded to the vehicles with the best decorations. Registration is free and forms are available at 900 Central Avenue in North Wildwood. Parking for visitors will be available in the municipal lot at 2nd and Olde New Jersey Avenues.

Enjoy the best festival in town! This family-friendly holiday event will take place at. Friday night will feature a Christmas parade awards ceremony, tree lighting ceremony, appearances from Santa Claus, carnival rides and more. Saturday’s festivities feature carnival rides, vendors, holiday activities, family entertainment and story time with Mrs. Claus at 10:15 am, 10:45 am, 11:15 am, and 11:45 am (bring a blanket or chair to sit on.) Admission is free.

Greater Wildwood Jaycees Christmas Parade

North Wildwood Recreation Center, 10th and Central Avenues, North Wildwood

Parade lines up along Central Avenue and steps off 16th Ave at 6:30 pm, proceeding along Central Avenue, then Pacific Avenue to Rio Grande Avenue, then turns onto New Jersey Avenue continuing towards Oak Avenue turning back towards Pacific Avenue and ending at Byrne Plaza.  Awards will be announced for floats and decorated business lighting contest. Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Christmas Tree Lighting

‘Pinch the GrYnch’ Boardwalk 5K Run

Wildwoods Convention Center

This holiday boardwalk 5K run and 1 mile walk is fun for all ages. Event is rain or shine. Registration begins at 9:00 am inside the Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits. The race route will run south on the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, make a turn around and head north to 21st Street. Another turn will lead runners back to the Convention Center where refreshments will be served and prizes awarded. Runners and walkers along with their cheering sections can then enjoy the Holiday Bazaar held inside the Convention Center. Registration is $30 per person or $15 if you donate a new, unwrapped toy for local children in need.

Partners in Preservation Holiday House Tour

Various locations in Wildwood

Partners in Preservation will host their annual Holiday Self-Guided Tour of B&B’s, houses, churches, the Holly Beach Park Schoolhouse and the George F. Boyer Museum in Wildwood. Start your tour at any site – a wrist band will be provided for a $10.00 donation collected at the first stop and is good for all places. Children 12 and under are free.
