National Night Out (North Wildwood)
Tuesday August 1, 2023 5:30 pm
Bill Henfey Park, 8th & Central Avenues in North Wildwood
A yearly event that offers an ideal opportunity to build neighborhood unity and strengthen police-community partnerships in a continuing effort to build a better City and safer America. City departments will set up displays around the block, representing police, fire, public works, beach patrol and recreation. Enjoy a free barbeque, games, various activities for children, hourly giveaways, and more. A movie will begin at dusk. Sponsored by the City of North Wildwood Police Department.

National Night Out (Wildwood)

National Night Out (Wildwood Crest)

Centennial Park, located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue, Wildwood Crest
The Borough of Wildwood Crest Police Department will host a fun-filled evening of free activities for the entire family as part of the National Night Out campaign. Festivities will include DJ entertainment, food, games, prizes, giveaways and more for the entire family. Moon bounces, a face painter and a dunk tank will be included in the fun. Representatives from the Wildwood Crest Police Department, Fire Department, Ambulance Corps, Beach Patrol and Recreation Department, as well as a handful of Cape May County agencies, will all partake in the event. Emergency vehicles from a variety of departments from both Wildwood Crest and Cape May County will line the Centennial Park area.

National Lighthouse Day
Monday August 7, 2023 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, 111 North Central Avenue, North Wildwood
You are invited to celebrate National Lighthouse Day, marking the 234th anniversary of the signing of the 1789 Lighthouse Act. The New Jersey Lighthouse Society will provide games and surprises for all children. The lighthouse will be open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and as always, admission is free and donations are accepted

New Year’s in North Wildwood

Old New Jersey Avenue, North Wildwood
The top Mummers String Bands from the New Year’s Day Parade in Philadelphia will parade along Olde New Jersey Avenue, where you can get up-close views of the beautiful costumes and intricate dance steps. String Bands will be performing Friday & Saturday in the North Wildwood Entertainment District. Parade takes place on Saturday. Admission is FREE, so come join in the fun and learn the famous Mummers Strut!

Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest

Join us for Oktoberfest 2023! Enjoy that ancient German tradition of merriment, roller coasters, tilt-a-whirls, beer, pretzels, and bratwurst! Mariner’s Pier will be open for Oktoberfest from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Fridays, from noon to 11:00 pm on Saturdays, and from noon to 5:00 pm on Sundays. Oktoberfest takes place on weekends from September 15, 2023 until October 8, 2023. Founders Restaurant will feature a special themed selection of Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, German potato salad, schnitzel, and more. On tap, guests will find a wide selection of beers and tasting flights to be enjoyed at an outdoor “biergarten” located behind Founders with live entertainment playing every night on the Coca-Cola stage in front of the Ferris Wheel. Raise a glass and tap a toe as bands play throughout the night. Musical performances are scheduled for Fridays from 6:30 pm-10:30 pm; Saturdays from 1:00 pm 5:00 pm; then again from 6:30 pm-10:30 pm; and Sundays from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.

Annual Irish Fall Festival
Friday September 22 – Sunday September 24, 2023
Various times and locations throughout Wildwood
Olde New Jersey Avenue and surrounding pubs, North Wildwood. The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrating Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, and Catholic Mass. The event concludes with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues on Sunday.

Come experience an ‘Olde World’ family festival including a Procession of the Saints, delicious Italian food favorites, merchandise vendors, games, and continuous FREE live entertainment. Admission to the festival is free; rain date October 6-7, 2023.

Wildwood Food and Music Festival

Downtown Wildwood, starting at Byrne Plaza along Pacific Avenue between Oak and Schellenger Avenues in Wildwood.
Formerly known as Wildwoods Seafood and Music Festival, this food and music street fair is sponsored by the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce. It features a full day of fantastic food options, music, shopping, and more. The festival will include live music, delicious food, craft vendors and much more, and is free to attend.

Wildwoods ‘50s ‘60s & ‘70s Weekend
Friday October 13 – Saturday October 15, 2023

Join us for this fabulous weekend of fun, nostalgia and great music! Friday night features a ’50s, ‘60s & ‘70s Dance Party at the Wildwoods Convention Center from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm featuring The Cameos. Tickets are $20 per person. A free street fair will take place on Saturday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm in Fox Park featuring food and craft vendors, live entertainment, a Doo Wop Bus Tour, and a classic car show in the Wildwoods Convention Center Circle from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Saturday night’s concert in the Wildwoods Convention Center begins at 7:00 pm with doors open at 5:00 pm. This year, The Miracles, The Temptations featuring the legacy of Dennis Edwards, and The 5th Dimension will perform at the Saturday Night Concert, hosted by The Voice of Tribute Tommy C. Concert tickets range from $54 – $89.50.

Greater Wildwood Elks Halloween Haunted House

North Wildwood Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Block Party
Saturday October 28, 2023 4:30 pm vehicle check-in; event is from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Olde New Jersey Avenue, North Wildwood
The annual family fun event features music, magic, balloon twisting and more. Families are encouraged to bring their vehicles decorated for Halloween. Children will come in costume and visit each car where families will provide treats from the trunks of their cars. There will be no judging of the children’s costumes, but prizes will be awarded to the best decorated vehicles. Registration is free and forms are available at 900 Central Avenue in North Wildwood or at City Hall. All vehicles participating in the event must be registered. Parking for visitors will be available in the municipal lot at 2nd and Olde New Jersey Avenues.

Wildwood Crest Holiday Lights Walk
Monday December 18, 2023
Meet at Rambler Road and New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood
The Borough of Wildwood Crest Mayor’s Wellness Campaign and the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department are sponsoring a community Holiday Lights Walk. Walkers will meet at the corner of Rambler Road and New Jersey Avenue and will take an approximately 30-minute walk along Sunset Lake and the surrounding neighborhood to view the various holiday and Christmas light displays. The Holiday Lights Walk is free but registration is encouraged. Walkers should wear warm clothes and bring a flashlight. All participants will receive a small holiday gift. Rain/inclement weather date for the event is Tuesday, December 21.
