Townsends Inlet

postcardTownsends Inlet is the southern-most part of Sea Isle City located on a barrier island known as Ludlam Island. It is here where Sea Isle connects to Avalon by way of a drawbridge. Townsends Inlet is currently experiencing a growth spurt as the demolition of an iconic old restaurant has allowed for the construction of several new buildings that will house a condominium complex,  shops and restaurants. On its southeastern side, Townsends Inlet is surrounded by large beachfront homes, wild dunes and sandy ocean beaches, and on its southwestern side by the inlet through which sailors navigate their vessels from the Intracoastal Waterway into the Atlantic.
