Townsends Inlet is a small community in southern Sea Isle City. Sea Isle is one of several small beach towns along the South Jersey shore. Ocean City, Strathmere and Sea Isle City lie to the north. Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood and Cape May lie to the south. Each of these towns offers many things to do. This includes free weekly activities, festivals, holiday events, themed weekends and attractions.
This community is found at the southern end of Ludlam Island. Avalon is just over the bridge. Townsends Inlet is mostly residential. There is no boardwalk in this part of town. There are a few restaurants, a beautiful beach and a waterfront park. This park features dunes and beaches that run along the north side of the inlet. This is a perfect place to watch the boats going out to sea. It is also one of the best places at the shore to watch the sun set. The neighboring towns of Sea Isle, Avalon and Stone Harbor offer year-round events, free summer weekly activities and more. Therefore, Townsends Inlet offers the best of both worlds – a laid back, beach and bay environment with nearby proximity to events and attractions.
The town offers easy access to the beautiful bay where you can fish, boat and enjoy watersports. Watersports opportunities include kayaking, paddle boarding and more. Enjoy a great dinner at Sunset Grill, grab an ice cream at Scoops and head to the inlet to watch the setting sun. This laid back community gives you calming, beautiful scenery and proximity to many events and attractions.
